D. Martin Nethery is a trial lawyer with extensive experience in handling complex litigation matters in California State and Federal Courts. His practice focuses on: Real Estate and Commercial Litigation, General Civil Litigation; and Contested Probate, Trust and Conservatorship matters; and Appeals of such matters.

Mr. Nethery has practiced law for over thirty years in Southern California, primarily in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County State Courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Calif. Before moving to the Coachella Valley, Mr. Nethery practiced in Downtown Los Angeles.

In 1980, Mr. Nethery joined the Riverside-based law firm of Best, Best & Krieger, where he became a Partner and served as Chairperson of the Litigation Dept. for the Desert Offices of that firm. In 1998, Mr. Nethery, Richard Roemer and Brian Harnik, formed the firm of Roemer, Harnik & Nethery, LLP in Indian Wells; and he later formed Nethery & Ofseyer LLP with Jeremy Ofseyer in Palm Desert.

Beginning January 1, 2014, Mr. Nethery joined with his former colleagues at Best Best & Krieger, Martin Mueller and Daniel Olivier, to form Nethery/Mueller/Olivier LLP in Rancho Mirage.

Mr. Nethery is admitted to practice law in all Courts of the State of California. He also is admitted to practice before various Federal District Courts in California, the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Nethery is a past President of the Desert Bar Association, and a Founder of both The Warren E. Slaughter/Richard I. Roemer American Inn of Court and of the Federal Bar Association of the Inland Empire. Mr. Nethery has been an Instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy at its San Diego Regional, and Boulder National, Programs.

He has served as a Commissioner on the City of Palm Desert Public Safety Commission since 2001. Mr. Nethery is a past President of the Family YMCA of the Desert and of the College of the Desert Foundation. He also served on the Personnel Committee of the Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church for many years.

Mr. Nethery was awarded the Juris Doctor degree from the Gould School of Law, University of Southern California (USC). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
